Hi everyone!

My name is Morgan Allen, and I am a fashion designer, seamstress, and the owner of MAD. I started sewing at 8 years old and always knew it would be my career. I obtained my Associate's Degree in Fashion Design at the #1 fashion school in the world, The Fashion Institute of Technology. While in New York, I worked multiple New York Fashion Weeks, which gave me the opportunity to work for bridal designers you've seen on Say Yes to the Dress. In 2020, when COVID hit, I moved back to Missouri, where I finished my Bachelor's Degree at Stephens College. My history with Stephens started in grade school, when I began attending their yearly fashion show. Years later, I became their first-ever dual-enrolled high school fashion design student. Although the world changed a lot in 2020, I'm so happy it brought me back to where it all started.

My love for alterations comes from how much clothing can affect the way you feel about your body. After working in the fashion design industry and designing behind a computer, I realized nothing made me quite as happy as working hands-on with clients and meeting so many amazing people. My goal is to make everyone feel confident and happy in their own skin. My passion, along with my years of experience and educational background, ensures that you will leave my studio feeling confident in yourself — and confident in your decision to choose Morgan Allen Designs.

Prior to opening Morgan Allen Designs in KCMO in 2025, I served the Columbia, MO area for five years. I'm excited to grow my business in the heart of Kansas City and look forward to being a part of this vibrant community!

See you in the studio soon,
Morgan

P.S.

That's our studio pup!

Meet Archie! He loves playing fetch, going on walks, and taking long naps in the studio. Archie will be the first to greet you at the door and will be a patient boy during your fitting, waiting for all the back scratches and belly rubs he'll get afterward!

Stephens College is pet-friendly, so Archie has spent his whole life in sewing labs around models, and now in the studio around clients. He is extremely friendly, doesn't shed, and loves meeting all of our clients. Although Archie is as hypoallergenic as dogs get, we understand you may still not want him around during your fitting due to allergies or personal reasons. If you'd prefer a pup-free fitting, just let Morgan know!
