About Our Pricing

Every wedding gown is different — the fabric, construction, embellishments, and the specific changes you need all affect the time and skill required to alter it. However, no matter how much or little you need done, the same techniques and methods are used.

Why We Have Minimums

Bridal alterations require dedicated one-on-one time — fittings, hand-stitching, pressing, and careful handling of delicate and expensive fabric. A minimum reflects the time, attention, and expertise that goes into even the simplest adjustment, and ensures every bride receives the same level of care whether she needs one small change or a full alteration package.

Our minimums also help us reserve enough time in our calendar for each gown, especially during busy wedding season, so that every bride's dress gets the attention it deserves without delays.

Pricing

On average, brides invest around $800 in their alterations process from start to finish — this includes fittings, the alterations themselves, and pickup. Every dress is different, so your final cost will depend on the specific work your gown needs, but $800 gives you a realistic ballpark as you budget for your big day.

Here are some common alterations and their starting prices:

  • Shoulder / strap adjustments: $45+

  • Take in / let out sides (bodice only): $220+

  • Take in / let out sides (below waist): $180+

  • Take in / let out bust seam: $120+

  • Add cups: $30–$55

  • Add corset back: $200+

  • Darts: $60+

  • Hem: $210+

  • Bustle: $85+

These are some, but not all, of the alterations you might expect during your alteration process. Our bridal minimum is $300.
